This category is aimed at migrants who want to be self-employed or actively run a business.
 
The requirements for getting EWV are:
 
-     Achieving minimum 120 points based on:
       ●     Years of business or management experience
       ●     Benefits to NZ economy eg employment and export value
       ●     Capital investments
       ●     Age
       ●     Location of your business
-     There is no age limit
-     Principal applicant must have English proficiency with a minimum IELTS score of 4 and above
-     Principal applicant must be self-employed and work in the business
-     Must meet health and character requirements
 
Other requirements: You must have a business plan with detailed Profit and Loss forecast as well as cashflow forecast.
 
Entrepreneur Category
 
Once you have successfully set up your business and successfully implemented your business plan for 2 years, you may apply for residence.
 
If you invest $500,000 or more in your business and create 3 new employments, you may apply for a residence straight away (conditions applied).
